United deserve to win !!!

United deserve to win the tie-breaker as they’re ahead both head to head and on GD.But to say the “best” team won the title when they’re dead even on points on the last day sounds more like banter than a rational assessment.5 seconds less Fergie time for United or one less dodgy pen for Chelsea and suddenly “the best” isn’t top anymore.

It is goin to be a great FA cup final….

Gotta say, I’m excited about cup final. I’m a Bluebirds supporter, have been since I was a kid, but I’ve lived in Pompey for nearly 20 years, so they’ve become my second team, if you will. Both teams are cracking, both sets of supporters are enthusiastic and passionate, lets hope that the ‘race divide’ doesn’t rear it’s ugly head and noone goes out of their way to be an idiot. Both Pompey and Caerdydd have had reps of having bad supporters (657 crew, Soul crew, I’m looking at you), so I sincerely hope that it’s fantastic day for both sides.

Owen

Owen on some outrageous salary up there so you’d think it unlikely but then perhaps the whole Newcastle experience plus injuries has sobered him and made him reconsider his place in things (or maybe not). Then again would we want him anyway as he perhaps enters his football dotage, perhaps well past his best, injury prone. Surely Moyesie would only take a chance on him if he was a bonafide all round bargain.

Chelsea signs a right back….

Chelsea have reached an agreement with Porto for the £16.2m transfer of right-back Jose Bosingwa. Wanted him at Man Utd, one of the best right backs around.Good/bad signing?Worth the money or overpriced?
Alberto da Silva, a journalist for World Soccer magazine, believes Bosingwa has been overvalued by Chelsea.
“He’s a good player but he’s not worth that much money,” he told BBC Radio 5 Live. “I don’t believe Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson would have been willing to spend that much money.” “Chelsea’s current right-back Paulo Ferreira is a better player. I don’t know who negotiated the deal, but he did well for Porto.” What i’ve seen of Bosingwa i think he’s definitely better than Paulo Ferreira but 16.2m does seem too much.
